Sandee can assist you with applications for emergency aid or any of the following programs: Energy Assistance, ConnPACE, Home Care (CCCI and VNA), Food Assistance (Food Stamps, Food Bank, town vouchers), Medical Transportation, Meals-On-Wheels, Eyeglass purchases through the Lion's Club, Medical assistance including Title XIX, Community Services referrals, QMB and SLMB assistance with Medicare, Housing, Renter's Rebate, Medicare CHOICES and supplmental health insurance, and applications for all State programs including State supplement.
Energy Assistance is winding down, but not over yet. The deadline for taking state and federal applications for your primary heat source is 4/15/09. You may apply for Operation Fuel until 4/30/09. If you are 65 or older the Operation Fuel program doesn't end until 5/15/09.
The Elderly and Disabled Tax Relief program is currently available (until 5/14/09) through the Assessor's Office. The Elderly and Disabled Renters Rebate Program starts on 5/15/09 and I will be taking those applications.
